Who we are?
We are a proactive volunteer group that has been actively supporting Ukrainians in the fight for Ukraine’s independence since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Our main activity is to help newly arrived Ukrainians who have suffered as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation to adapt in a new country.
Our events
We participate in and organize events to support Ukrainians and their adaptation to life in Canada.

Our priority is help in finding housing and work.
In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Canada announced a series of measures to provide services to allow Ukrainians displaced by the war to settle in Canada, and federal, provincial and regional governments and non-governmental organizations are working together to receive them and provide comprehensive assistance.
Our NSU team is here to help you through the process. We provide assistance from the moment you arrive and after you settle in.
With the help of various programs supporting our lives, Ukrainian families adapt to Canada. All services are FREE for CUAET newcomers.
Support and information for Ukrainian newcomers
We provide assistance in solving the following issues:
- Health Insurance (OHIP)
- Obtaining a driver’s license
- Help in finding a job
- Search and placement in school and kindergarten
- Housing search
- Language Learning (ESL)
- Opening a bank account
- Applying for financial assistance
Supporting Ukrainian cultural and educational life in Canada through various events and programs
These include:
- Sports for adults and children
- Art and cultural programs
- Gyms or other types of fitness
- Social events, announcements related to the Ukrainian community in the Niagara region
Volunteering
Our organization has already helped many Ukrainian families.
Everyone can do good deeds: children, adults, people with increased needs, companies, agencies and organizations of various types. We will tell you how to effectively help others and together we will move from the desire to change circumstances to real actions for those who need help. Also, join our team.
- We provide consultation assistance to all newly arrived Ukrainian families affected by Russian aggression;
- We conduct activities for cultural and spiritual developmentand physical
education of children; - We are an intermediary between the applicable Canadian authoritiesand
the Ukrainian community in the territory of the Niagara region; - We help newly arrived Ukrainians to join in the socio-economic life of Canada;

"Help" shop
As part of cooperation with the Canadian Congress of Ukrainians - Niagara branch, we help fill a charity shop in the Niagara region.
In this charity shop, newly arrived Ukrainians can find things necessary for everyday use, clothes, furniture, food, etc. If you have something to help, we will gladly accept and deliver these things to the store.
