The Government of Ontario has simplified the renewal of driver’s licenses for newly arrived Ukrainians who come to Canada under the Canada-Ukraine Emergency Travel Permit (CUAET)
Citizens of Ukraine can report their international driving experience and pass the exams in a very short time. Applicants who have passed the G1 and G2 exams must wait at least one day before submitting the full G exam. Candidates must provide their Ukrainian passports, a Canadian visa approved under CUAET, and a valid driver’s license from Ukraine (if available).
OBTAINING A DRIVER’S LICENSE IN NIAGARA REGION
In order to apply for the test registration, you will need to present the following documents (the documents listed below are the main ones, if you do not have the documents listed below, you can check directly with the center to find out which documents they can accept:
For newly arrived Ukrainians:
Study permit,
Work permit
Passport with a visa
Valid driver’s license from Ukraine
Visit DriveTest – St. Catharines – 285 Bunting Rd #1, St. Catharines, ON L2M 7T9
opening hours 7.00-17.00
At the computer booth, select (Other), then click (don`t have Ontario Driver License)
Then you will receive a coupon with a number
You will be called by calling the number
You will take a vision test and be photographed
You will need to pay $106
Then you will go to take the test on the computer
PREPARING AND TAKING THE G1 TEST
The test contains 2 blocks of 20 questions each
The language is Russian

If you fail the first time, you will have the opportunity to take the test again by paying an additional fee.
After successful passing, you can immediately order Road Test G, the price is $90
